Hi, I’m Yimar the graphic designer and maker behind Coromoto Design.

I’ve always been obsessed with turning ideas into things you can actually hold, wear, collect, and live with.

Coromoto Design is my independent design studio where graphic design meets making. Instead of limiting myself to one material or one type of product, I let each idea decide what it wants to become.

Sometimes it becomes a pair of earrings.
Sometimes an embroidered patch.
Sometimes an art print, a mug, a brooch, a hair accessory or even a slightly mischievous plush character.

That variety is not accidental.

It’s the whole idea.

I love experimenting with materials, techniques, shapes, textures, color, and unexpected combinations. Every collection is another opportunity to explore an idea in a different way.

From the first sketch to the final object, my work begins with design. I develop the concepts, illustrations, patterns, graphics, and details, then bring them to life in my home studio in Illinois.

Some pieces are stitched. Some are sculpted. Some are printed, assembled, engraved, or made by hand using entirely different processes.

Coromoto Design isn't about mass produced objects or following one particular aesthetic.

It’s about curiosity, experimentation, good design, craftsmanship, and creating pieces with personality, the kind of objects that make you look twice, smile, or ask:
